Ali,
We have seen hotels producing upwards to 30 percent above budget projects this year. What have you tried that was unsuccessful? Has anything worked?
Advertising on the TPI's is another way to gain exposure and brand visibility. Our philosophy is to expand this rather than use precious dollars on branded keyword PPC but that is a personal decision. It has worked for us.
Local and market segment specific portals are also an excellent producer.
Hope this helps,
Steven
We are just selling some hotels. We have sold 7 hotels this month.
Regarding hotel marketing, we continue to struggle in some markets due to this recession. I am trying everything I can to work with each hotel to see what we can do to help with their performance. I have been extremely busy these days and working with 30 hotels has been very challenging. But, I enjoy the challenge and keep trying to plug away.
Have a question for you, do you do any advertising on Expedia.com using their banner ads. I don't really want to do promote the Expedia channel but I hear the banner ads are helpful for additional bookings.
